Performance Report
October 2022
Prepared by OTS Service Evaluation
·
Ridership
Average weekday ridership
for the month of October 2022 was 121,832, up by 18,570 or 18% from the
previous year. Fiscal year-to-date ridership is at 13,136,287, up by 15% from
the previous year. While schools are back in session, this trend should
continue.
Ridership continues to
recover in 2022 and is still approximately 39 percent lower than pre-pandemic
level.
·
On-Time Performance
System-wide on-time
performance is at 69.5% for the month of October 2022. The drop in on-time
performance can be attributed to school going back in session and a gradual
economic recovery. Out of 107 total routes, 44 routes exceeded on-time
performance at 80% and zero performed under 50%.
The DTS and OTS Service
Review Committee reviews service levels, including on-time performance monthly.
·
Maintenance
As a result of the
COVID pandemic, the spare ratio is above our normal 20% requirement due to low
ridership. The fleet size has been decreased from 520 to 466 vehicles. We
project that at this quantity we will come close to meeting our spare ratio
requirements when rail service begins.
